About Takayo Wakayama

Takayo is mother of 2, Japanese/English bilingal birth doula, lactation educator.

I've been living in US over 25 years now.

I've been holding a space and supporting mothers and their families for over 20 years in US and Japan.

I acknowledge that birthing process is healing and transforming journey from within. That birthing healing energy moves birthing woman, her family same time anyone who attended and supported.

I know each birth is an amazing and so unique.

I've learned about physiological birth that the most respect knowledge for human body, and the relationship with baby in the womb.

I've advocated Japanese community and families for 15 years. Also I've connected and been volunteer with local breastfeeding support group for 14 years now.
