So glad you found me!

Hello, I’m Takayo Wakayama, a Japanese-English bilingual Certified Birth Doula, CD(DONA).

For more than 20 years, I have had the honor of supporting birthing people and their families in both the United States and Japan.

I believe birth is more than a physical experience.
It can be a deeply personal, healing, and transformative journey.

Every person has a different story, a different body, a different culture, and a different vision for birth. There is no single “right” way to give birth.

My role is to listen to you, understand what matters to you, and help you feel informed, respected, and supported throughout your journey.

From pregnancy and birth to postpartum and breastfeeding, I am here to walk beside you with compassionate, continuous support.

Whether you are planning a hospital birth, home birth, unmedicated or medicated birth, joyful birth, orgasmic birth, or a birth centered around your own cultural traditions, your wishes matter.

I can help you explore your options, find reliable information and resources, prepare for birth, communicate your preferences, and create a space where you can feel safe being yourself.

You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.

You can simply come as you are, with your questions, hopes, worries, and dreams for your birth.

I would love to hear your story, learn what kind of birth you are hoping for, and explore how I can support you.

Your birth. Your body. Your choices.
I’m here to support you.
